FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) – Plans for a regional science museum in Fargo received a major boost after Bobcat Company committed $1 million to the project, the Fargo Moorhead Science Museum announced Monday.
The multiyear pledge of financial and in-kind support marks the first major corporate investment for the planned facility, bringing total fundraising past $7.5 million. The campaign previously secured a $5 million foundational gift from Aldevron co-founder John Ballantyne, alongside contributions from other individual and corporate donors.
As part of the partnership, Bobcat will help design an interactive exhibit highlighting how science, engineering, and manufacturing intersect in compact equipment design.
While fundraising, site development, and exhibit design remain underway for the permanent building, museum organizers continue to host free hands-on STEMM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and medicine) outreach programs at regional libraries, parks, and public community events.
