The annual results include performance information for 860 schools across Nevada and come as the Nevada Department of Education launches a new framework for measuring the performance of Nevada’s school districts. The data is intended to provide the public with information about how students, schools and districts are performing while giving educators and school leaders information to identify areas of success and where additional improvement or support may be needed.
Of CASLV’s 12 schools within its seven campuses, 41.6% earned a five-star rating, 41.6% earned a four-star rating and 16.6% earned a three-star rating.
CASLV’s Centennial Middle School, Nellis Air Force Base Middle School, Sandy Ridge High School, Tamarus Elementary School, Windmill Middle School each earned a five-star rating. Cadence Elementary School, Cadence Middle School, Centennial Elementary School, Sandy Ridge Middle School and Windmill Elementary School earned four-star ratings. Eastgate Elementary School and Nellis Air Force Base Elementary School earned three-star ratings.
The results also reflect year-over-year gains at several CASLV campuses. Nellis AFB Elementary School, Cadence Elementary School and Windmill Elementary School each increased by one star, while Nellis AFB Middle School also improved by one star to earn a five-star rating.
“Every star represents the dedication of our students, teachers, school leaders and families who come together each day with a shared commitment to learning and growth,” said Dr. Ercan Aydogdu, CEO and Executive Director of Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas. “We are proud to see so many of our campuses recognized through Nevada’s accountability system, and we are equally focused on using these results to identify where we can continue to improve. Our goal is not simply to earn a rating, but to create learning environments where every student has the opportunity to succeed, excel and be appropriately challenged to reach their full potential.”
The NSPF is Nevada’s statewide school accountability system and evaluates schools using multiple measures. Depending on school level, those measures include English language arts and mathematics performance on the Smarter Balanced assessments, science assessments, chronic absenteeism, graduation rates and other indicators.
For the 2025-26 school year, 122 Nevada schools earned five stars, representing 14.2% of the 860 schools rated statewide. Another 119 schools, or 13.8%, earned four stars; 162 schools (18.8%) earned three stars; 219 schools (25.5%) earned two stars; 162 schools (18.8%) earned one star; and 76 schools (8.8%) were not rated.
CASLV’s strong performance also extends to national recognition of its Sandy Ridge Campus. In the U.S. News & World Report 2025 Best High School Rankings, Sandy Ridge High School was recognized among the highest-ranked public high schools in Nevada and the nation.
The campus earned recognitions as the No. 1 Best High School in Henderson, No. 1 Best Charter School in Nevada, No. 2 Best High School in Las Vegas, No. 3 Best High School in Nevada, No. 240 Best High School in the Nation and No. 54 Best Charter High School in the Nation.
Sandy Ridge rose to No. 3 among Nevada’s best high schools, up from No. 5 the previous year, and climbed to No. 240 nationally, improving 325 places from its previous ranking of No. 565.
CASLV is also the only public school among Nevada’s top three high schools in the 2025 U.S. News rankings that does not select students based on academic criteria. Instead, students are admitted through a public lottery.
The recognition adds to Sandy Ridge’s record of academic achievement and underscores CASLV’s focus on providing college-preparatory, STEM-focused education to students throughout Southern Nevada.
The full Nevada School Performance Framework results are available through the Nevada Department of Education’s Nevada Report Card. Applications are now open for the 2027-28 CASLV school year. To apply please visit apply.avela.org/caslv.
