Scientists transferred into the EPA’s chemicals office are working on new methods of assessing chemicals and pesticides to help the agency reduce the backlog of substance assessments it’s charged with doing.
The Toxicology Forum, a nonprofit organization that hosts discussions about scientific questions underlying public policies, held a meeting Wednesday discussing research underway in the Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention. OCSPP now includes scientists transferred from the agency’s Office of Research and Development, which was officially dissolved by the Trump administration earlier this year.
