EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – The Evansville Museum of Arts, History & Science celebrated a major milestone Saturday as the Evansville Museum Geek Con returned for its 10th anniversary.
The family-friendly event, sponsored by Donate Life Indiana and Ciholas, ran from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and celebrated the art, science, history and creativity of geek culture.
“Geek Con is a celebration of the creativity and enthusiasm that make fandom communities so special,” said Curator of Education, Karen Malone. “We’re thrilled to celebrate the event’s 10th anniversary and welcome longtime fans, families, and anyone curious about the convention experience to the Museum.”
This year’s Guest of Honor was M.S. Harkness, an American cartoonist known for graphic memoirs including Time Under Tension, Desperate Pleasures, and Tinderella. Harkness, an Oklahoma native who resides in Columbus, Ohio, occasionally teaches at the Columbus College of Art & Design.
The event featured a lineup of special guests and organizations, including Nate Powell, DeWayne Todd, Reid Chancellor, the 501st Star Wars Legion and the Greater Evansville Steampunk Association.

Tickets were $14 for adults, $9 for children and free for Museum Members. The Evansville Museum of Arts, History & Science is located at 411 SE Riverside Dr. in Evansville.
