CINCINNATI — Mount St. Joseph University will receive $619,758 in Choose Ohio First funding to support its STEM program.
“This continued investment is a strong endorsement of the Mount’s commitment to preparing students for high-demand careers that will shape the future of our region and state,” said President H. James Williams, Ph.D. “Through this funding, we will continue expanding opportunities for students pursuing STEM fields, while helping meet workforce needs across Ohio.”
The fund provides awards to colleges and universities that demonstrate strong academic programs and partnerships with regional industries.
“This funding helps ensure students have access to the resources, support, and learning experiences needed to succeed in today’s evolving workforce,” said Steve Almquist, provost at the Mount. “We are grateful to the Ohio Department of Higher Education for its continued partnership and investment in Mount academic programs.”
The award was announced in a letter to the university recently.
“Mount St. Joseph University has been an excellent partner with Choose Ohio First,” Chancellor Mike Duffey stated. “The university sees the value of the program and knows it can be a game changer for its STEM students.”
