— will host Day 2026 on Sept. 22, welcoming to campus for a day of hands-on learning in , , and .
The free event is open to students in grades 9-12 and will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the OBU campus.
Throughout the event, students will work with OBU faculty members and current STEM students to explore ideas, solve real-world challenges and learn how STEM fields connect to future career opportunities.

When students arrive, they will select an interest track in one of four areas: medicine, engineering and physics, computer science and technology, or forensics. Students will then join small groups led by OBU STEM students and rotate through interactive sessions throughout the morning.
A central focus of STEM Day is showing students how mathematics supports every STEM pathway. Participants will complete math activities connected to their selected interest areas and learn how math applies to fields such as medicine, engineering, computer science and forensics.
Previous STEM Day activities have included topology, cryptography and map design projects, as well as hands-on science activities such as virus-spread simulations, fossil excavation, roller coaster design, edible alginate “chameleon eggs” and chromatography.

Other sessions have explored wound care, ear anatomy, music and sine waves, and exercise physiology.
OBU faculty members design the activities to provide students with STEM experiences they may not encounter during a typical school day.
Teachers and school sponsors are invited to participate with student groups during the morning sessions or connect with other educators before joining students for lunch and the closing STEM program.
Registration and additional information are available at okbu.edu/events/stem-day/index.html.
