RACINE — Racine Public Library is inviting community members to present projects at its first Community Science Fair, scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 24, with exhibits open to the public from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., according to a news release from the library.
The event is part of the 2026 Wisconsin Science Festival and is intended to showcase experiments, research projects, engineering ideas and scientific discoveries from participants of all experience levels — from first-time experimenters to experienced researchers, the library said.

The library said prizes will be awarded to winning presenters in each age category:

The fair is also open to visitors, who are encouraged to explore displays, ask questions and enter drawings. Attendees can pick up a “Science Fair Passport” and earn stamps by visiting projects; completed passports can be turned in to enter a drawing for a 3D printer, according to the release.
The Community Science Fair is tied to the Wisconsin Science Festival, which runs Oct. 15–25 at locations statewide. This year’s theme is “The Science of Us,” focusing on topics including the brain and body, human health and well-being, and discoveries that shape people’s understanding of the world, the library said.
The Friends of the Library is sponsoring the event, according to the release. The library also noted that the Friends’ Fall Book Sale will be held on the library’s first floor during the science fair.
People interested in presenting a project must register by Sept. 15, 2026, the library said. Registration is available online at RacineLibrary.info/ScienceFair2026 or in person at the library.
