Shining A Light Series
The B.B. King Museum All Star’s helped open up the event.

Director of the Sunflower County Library Mary Ann Griffin was enjoying her second time coming out to the Mississippi Science Festival.
“Were here to demonstrate some of the after school programs we do and also demonstrate some of the items that we have that reinforces stem learning” said Director of the Sunflower County Library, Mary Ann Griffin.
She says electrical circuit kits can be checked out with your library card.
They showed an impale from a chemical reaction, sort of like a rocket taking off.

“Today were out educating the community on the importance of exercise, the importance of taking care of your health, the importance of eating right,” said Kea’Undra Robb from Indianola Wellness Center.

Mississippi Valley State showed students math, computer science and technology.
The Mississippi Delta Nature and Learning Center taught about plant life cycles and taking care of our fury friends.
The Mississippi Forestry Association even taught them how to age a tree.
Finally, Nicole Quilling and her crew from the Center for Mathematics and Science education at Ole Miss brought along a mobile planetarium that visits schools throughout the Delta.
“So you get to go on a trip to the moon, and to mars, and we get to see all the different constellations, and you get to have a whole lot of fun seeing space.”
The students seem to enjoy their time, remembering, science of today is technology of tomorrow.
